If you drink too much, dont try to jump over a trash can --- believe me IT WONT WORK! BEST OUTDOOR BAR ON THE SUNSET STRIP RED ROCK: Sit, watch, cruise and count how many foreign cars you can spot racing by within a minute. BEST GAY OUTDOOR BAR ABBEY: I can only be there in the daytime --- beautiful setting, incredible location, at nights all mayhem breaks loose! Any day on Third Street Promenade or Westwood Village if you like Anglo American . . . ...or on any MTA Bus in L.A. Volleyball courts and some cool bars close by (Friendship), a famous breakfast place (Patrick's Roadhouse) and some good Tex Mex food (Merrix) BEST NUDE BEACH PALOS VERDES: Not that you'll ever see me there . . . just follow the No Parking signs, it's a pretty deep hike down to the beach though ( or so I've heard, lol) BEST PLACES TO GET AWAY You want peace and quiet, away from the rest of the world, while still surrounded by 13 million people??? Hey, no problem! Just go up Topanga Canyon Road to Will Rogers State Park, or make your way thru traffic and end up at Palos Verdes Estates (you might as well check out the nude Beach there, too, or drive all the way to the end of La Brea in Hollywood --- not as secluded, but great trails to walk, run or mountain bike BEST MOVIE THEATERS 1. Cineramadome/Arclight - Hollywood: (Best Sound/Screen) Best Screen, Projector, Mega Seats, Lots of Rooms, Bar/Restaurant, Reserved Seating & Free Parking....before you run out there, it comes at a price ! $14/Ticket, Seems almost worth it though... 2. El Capitan - Hollywood Blvd Disney's Theater Gem 3. Chinese Theater Newly renovated, great as ever 4. The Grove By far the best Megaplex out there! 5. Orpheum-Downtown L.A.: Currently just open for special events BEST SANDWICHES (Tie) That Sandwich Shack on Gayley in Westwood (Just ask any student where to get 12-inch steak or chicken sandwiches for $2.25, and they will gladly point out the way) Donut and Sandwich Shop at the Pantages Theater on Hollywood Blvd: Incredibly great sandwiches for --- are you sitting down? --- $1.99!!! BEST PIZZA CASA BIANCA 1650-1652 Colorado Blvd - Eagle Rock This is one of those gem's you wont find in any Tour-Guide Books! Eagle Rock locals swear of this place for over 55 years now. It is low key, always busy, cheap(still only $6.95 for 1 Liter of Red Wine!) and the Pizza is by far the best in L.A.!!!! Plus on Fri and Sat it is open until 1 AM! (Closed Sun/Mon) BEST DIVE BAR Fogcutter (on Virgil north of Melrose east side of street. I don't even think they have a phone) Strong drinks, straight and gay crowd(very mixed neighborhood atmoshere) and KAROKE!!!
