L.A.LIVE
Why build a $1Billion "new" center of Downtown L.A. when you have the "real" Downtown L.A. along Broadway right there. Development in this city drives my crazy sometimes...well, it is here now for you to enjoy. Plenty of bars, bowling alley, Staples Center, Nokia and Movietheaters are all there. So I guess, you can "hang" here if you choose to do so...

THE GETTY VILLA - MALIBU
The Getty Villa is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, but you are really coming here for the gardens and architecture as this is a page about hanging out, not educating. lol! It's a peaceful place, stunning to say the least. You need to plan ahead though and make reservations for tickets, which are free. You can do so online at

Elysian Park
1880 Academy Dr. Los Angeles(By Dodger Stadium)
Elysian Park was set aside for public use when Los Angeles was founded in 1781. The second largest city park in LA. 600-acre Elysian retains much of its natural chaparral, a landscape crisscrossed with hiking trails. At the central picnic area are bbq pits, a small man-made lake, and children's play area.
This park is also (in)famous for a lot of mano on mano cruising

DODGER STADIUM
Summertime = Baseballtime. Dodger Stadium is a true L.A.Landmark and with tickets starting as low as $6, this is deffinatly a affordable choice for a lazy afternoon. Or spent some extra $$$, $35 to be exact and get a ticket that includes unlimited food and drinks(sorry, beer not included).

You can always count on an entertaining ride, encounter one crazy person, 12 High School Kids, an older screaming lady and a busdriver, who, thanks to his union contract, wont get fired, no matter what he does. This little one sqare block park is "haunted" , as the Rudolph Valentino Statue who is gracing this little area lost it's NOSE 3 times now by Vandals or.....???

BEVERLY CENTER
Ahhh, the Beverly Center, is it a shopping mall or just a good excuse to have fun?
I am not sure, at this place I had some celebs chasing/following me to the bathroom(never knew I threw out a gay vibe, but this former E/R star thought so, lol)), had some fun with girls at the Pet Store or just watch the Waynes Brothers chilling at the Foodcourt.
The Beverly Center is not your average mall, go and enjoy yourself, but at all costs, avoid there Movie Theater, which must be the worst Multiplex in town!

THIRD STREET PROMENADE
Third Street Promenade is a place you can take your parents, it is pretty, by the beach, cool people and some great street performances.
It is also a place to leave your parents home at night some times, especially when visiting Yankee Doodles or Barney's Beanery!

CRENSHAW MALL
I really like the area, heck, I get my haircut there, but this mall sucks, so why to hang out there? Three words....
MAGIC JOHNSONS THEATER
A fun place to watch movies, don't expect to actually HEAR the movie, just comment on it, like everyone else!

TV SHOW TAPING
If it is hot outside, "hang" at a taping. Dramas are a no no, but sitcoms and Talk Shows always need an audience. It's fun actually, especially if you can get into a VIP taping for the Jimmy Kimmel Show(Free Drinks and Food, plus hanging with the Stars of the night)
