John Belushi died here, but that is more then 20 years ago and this place is so beautiful, amazing and star0driven, there is nothin like it in the World! Where old-school Hollywood and the Hip and crazy reside! Not to mention Bar Marmont right next door! MONDRIAN 8440 Sunset Blvd - (323)650-5215 Yup yup, that's the place with the Skybar and if you stay here you are on the Guest-List, no questions ask, no bully to hold you back, your valet-guy looks like Tom Cruise and the Receptionist like Nicole K., anyway, amazing what they have done with an pretty ugly 70s Apartement Building! THE STANDARD 8300 Sunset Blvd - (323)650-9090 A great, hip place to stay in L.A. ...Everyone working here looks good, (even the gardner, aehm, "landscape artist")decorated with 60s kitsch, a cool pool, and amazing people to talk to, the lobby fishtank is filled with a live model , a barbershop and a 24 hrs. Coffeshop! On weekends the lounge and pool area transforms into a trendy lounge setting! DOWNTOWN STANDARD 550 S.Flower Street - Downtown L.A. With the same trendy features as it's West Hollywood sister, this new Hotel quickly became the place to stay. The rooftop Pool and Bar area is a must do on everyones L.A.list now. The rooms are minimalist, comfortable and the lowest rates start at $99. Even if you live in L.A.and want a vacation within the City, I would suggest checking the one out! |

The hotel borders Santa Monica and sits on the famous boardwalk, overlooking the Pacific Ocean . Recently the hotel has been renovated to meet the modern needs of any traveler. LOS ANGELES ADVENTURER 4200 W.Century Blvd - L.A.- (310)419-0999 Right by the Airport, all Suites, little dirty but for $35 it's cool if you leave the next day from LAX, 99cents Happy Hour at the Pool-Bar gets you Beer, Hot Dogs and Ice Cream! VALUE INN 5200 Sunset Blvd - L.A. - (323)666-0692 O.K., You are broke and still wannt to stay on the Sunset Strip! There are plenty of Motels, this one is aiight, but hey, $40 wont set you back that bad! Motel 6 Whitley - Hollywood Blvd In the heart of Hollywood, close to clubs and bars. Nice and clean, just like the other 10000 Motel 6's around town! $55 At several Denny's Restaurants around town you can find a Coupon Book with incredible Hotel Discounts. Especially helpful for the spontanious traveler! |
